The SIZE is the length of the shoe from toe to heel.
We list all of our shoes in UK English sizes so US customers need to be aware that UK sizes are smaller than US sizes.

The FIT is the width across the foot. The wider the fit the more internal volume of the shoe.

Soles
Goodyear welted leather sole
This is what Northampton manufactures are traditionally known for. The sole is stitched to a welt which means the shoe gives great comfort & excellent shape retention.
Welted Rubber soles
This is similar to the “Goodyear welted Leather sole” construction except the sole material is Rubber giving harder wear & better water resistant properties.
Leather Sole Rubber Fore Part
This gives all the benefits of a leather sole but the added flexibility & durability of a rubber fore part.
Cemented Leather Sole
A construction using specialised adhesives in place of stitched welts to bond the upper to the sole. This gives lightness in weight & appearance that the welted construction cannot.
Moccasin Construction
This provides a very light flexible & comfortable shoe. A bag of Leather is formed by Hand stitching an apron & the sole is then stitched or glued to the upper.
Delivery Times
Uk orders are normally next day from date of despatch. Europe is normally 3-6 days from date of despatch and outside Europe is normally 3-6 Days from date of Despatch.

What happens if I am unsatisfied in any way?
If you are not completely satisfied with the shoes, we will give a full refund on the shoes less the cost of outward postage. You need only pay to send the shoes back to us.
If returning from outside the EU please write "Returning unsuitable goods to sender" on the customs form & parcel as we will not receive parcels that encure duty charges.
Please contact us within 28 days of receipt of your goods if you intend to return them.
The shoes must be returned in the same saleable condition, shoes will not be accepted where there are signs of wear on the sole. (We suggest trying shoes on carpet only.
Returns Exchanges & Refunds
If for any reason you are not happy with the shoes, simply return them to us and an exchange or full refund will be given less the outward postage.
Please enclose your details & the Order Number which is to be found on your email invoice. To make the process easy we have included a tear off portion on the invoice that includes all the returns information you need.
Customers are responsible for returning the shoes & paying the cost - we suggest using registered postage, & that customers retain a proof of postage just in case the parcel should fail to be delivered.
